Conforma-HA significantly increased the intracellular collagen synthesis by 118-158% relative to the comparator in a concentration-dependent manner

Improves Skin Elasticity
In a Study of 22 adult females, aged 29-59 years, subjects were assigned to utilize conformationally changed-HA 0.5% HA (half the concentration of Conforma-HA) formulated with 2% 1,2-hexanediol, applied twice daily
Measurement of Skin Elasticity

Skin elasticity was measured 3 times on both cheeks of the subject using Cutometer® MPA580 (Enviroderm, UK).

After negative pressure was applied to the skin, the ability of the skin to return to its previous position, i.e., elasticity, is calculated as the R2 value.
-
Skin elasticity improves as the R2 value increases.

The same area around the eyes is pictured using PRIMOS CR® (LMI Technologies, Canada) Small Field technology.

The average roughness of the wrinkles around the eyes (Crow's feet) is expressed as a Ra (µm) value.

As the Ra value decreases, it means that the wrinkles around the eyes are improved.

‘Push-Pull’ Activity
​In a study to compare the transdermal permeability of Conforma HA-mixed with Lidocaine (9.6%) and 9.6% lidocaine cream (5-MC® cream, U Pharmaceuticals, Korea) to full thickness murine abdominal skin.

Equal volumes of Conforma-HA-Lidocaine and 5-MC cream were applied over an area of 0.64 cm2 for 5 minutes.

Skin absorption was assayed via LC/MS/MS for lidocaine.
-
Results: Conforma-HA Delivers 4.3 times more lidocaine in the first 5 minutes
This ability to facilitate movement other molecules across the skin allows the user to apply Conforma-HA with other agents to improve skin penetration
